It is never too late to turn around your health!

Holistic Nutrition for the whole family

It is important to eat well for optimal health, but fitness is equally as important.  Did you know that most back and knee injuries occur in sedentary people, who hurt themselves doing very routine things like lifting grocery bags or getting out of the car?  Being able to move well and have the physical strength and stamina to get through your day is critical to your longterm health.

I am a firm believer in Functional Fitness.  Most people don't want to run marathons or be a competitive body builder (though I can help you if you do!).  But, it's great to be able to get through your day physically, with no pain or injuries.

Do you want to be able to:

  • Go up and down stairs without getting winded? (endurance, strength)
  • Carry heavy grocery bags, children or suitcases? (strength)
  • Bend down and reach up to do things (flexibility)
  • Play sports with your kids or friends? (agility, strength, endurance)
  • Open jars? (strength)
  • Move suddenly (react) without falling over or pulling a muscle? (balance, flexibility)
  • Sit up in bed without using your arms to push off (core strength)
  • Look over your shoulder in the car without turning your whole body? (flexibility)

To do those things requires Strength, Endurance, Flexibility and Balance - the foundations of fitness.

And, truth be told, most people want to feel confident in their clothes, and confident in their skin, clothed or not!

I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Weight Loss Specialist certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I am also a paleo fitness buff and a big fan of kettlebells and strength training.  I will evaluate your current level of fitness and lifestyle habits, and create a fitness plan that fits into your schedule and helps you meet your fitness goals.  No matter what your current level of fitness is, together we can make it better.
